Cuivre River Electric Cooperative’s General Manager/CEO appointed to statewide association committees
CREC’s General Manager/CEO Doug Tracy was appointed to several committees at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) annual meeting earlier this month. AMEC represents more than 47 electric cooperatives in the state, serving more than 560,000 cooperative members.
Tracy, who has been with CREC for 17 years, was appointed to the Legislative Government Relations and Load Management committees.
As a member of the Legislative and Government Relations Committee, Tracy will be responsible for activities concerned with developing working relationships with state legislators, the Missouri congressional delegates, and government agencies.
On the Load Management Committee, he will be responsible for helping develop programs related to reducing peak electric demands. The committee keeps abreast of technical developments in this field to help ensure that electric cooperative member/consumers are receiving power at the lowest possible cost.
